Oral health conditions include dental caries (tooth decay), gum disease, oral cancer, and abnormalities of the jaws and soft tissues. With X-rays and other diagnostic tools, our team can diagnose conditions early on and develop customized treatment to address a variety of problems before they advance to more problematic conditions.

For our younger patients and those experiencing the eruption of wisdom teeth, Dr. Lam will carefully examine the placement of teeth in relation to the patient’s occlusion (bite) to determine if orthodontic treatment is necessary.

In addition to dental examinations, professional cleanings are necessary to maintain clean and healthy teeth and gums. During professional cleanings, our dental hygienists use special dental tools to remove tartar buildup and polish teeth. Once plaque, a sticky film of bacteria that coats teeth, hardens into tartar, it cannot be removed by brushing and flossing alone. Too much tartar accumulation irritates and inflames the gum tissue and ultimately leads to gum disease. Professional cleanings are non-invasive and gentle.
