At TLC Dentistry, we want to be your community dental provider. With flexible evening and weekend hours and our convenient North Plano location, we do our best to accommodate our patients’ busy schedules. Our practice succeeds based on referrals from our patient’s family, friends and neighbors, and although most of our patients live locally here in Plano, many do travel a long distance to see us as well.

Cone Beam CT ICAT

The cone beam is a type of radiological image (CT) that can take a panoramic, three-dimensional image of the entire head and oral cavity. Its images produce sharp, clear views of all the structures of the oral cavity and face. Cone beam is beneficial for evaluating oral health and anatomy as a whole and in specific regions.

Dentist, Founder

Dr. Nikki Nhi B. Lam, DMD

Dr. Lam found her inspiration when she accepted a part-time job offer as a Dental Assistant. As a child, she had suffered through a horrible dental experience, so she only took this job to help her family. Little did she know at the time that sitting on the other side of the dental chair, changing people’s smiles, gave her a thrill that she had never before experienced. Today, she can’t imagine doing anything else; dentistry is not just a career for Dr. Lam, it’s her passion. “There is no better feeling than when I can make a difference in my patient’s oral health, overall health and most importantly, their confidence.”

Dr. Lam received her BS degree from the University of California-Davis in 2001, with a major in Biology and a minor in Medical Microbiology. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2006. She has been practicing dentistry in the Dallas area since 2007, and has earned numerous awards and achievements, including:

• Enteral/Oral Conscious Sedation Certified

• Advanced training in Orthodontics by Academy of GP Orthodontics

Dr. Lam has been married since 2012 to Dr. Long Nguyen, who practices dentistry in Arlington. In her spare time, Dr. Lam enjoys cooking, interior design, embroidery, music, travel and spending time with her son, Alexander

Dr. Lam welcomes new patients to her practice, and encourages anyone looking for a warm, caring environment to make an appointment with her office.

Dental Assistant

Jan

Jan was born and raised in Oklahoma City and moved to Texas in 2016. She chose to work in the dental field because there is always something new to learn. She has been a dental assistant for over 13 years (7 of those being at TLC Dentistry).

She feels very accomplished when she’s able to help patients leave the office feeling that they were treated not only like a patient, but also like family. She has 3 children and 1 grandchild.

Jan loves listening to music, traveling, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

Dental Hygienist

Natasza

Natasza is a caring dental hygienist with over 20 years of experience. She loves to share the passion for dentistry and its integral part in the overall health of a human body with her patients.

Natasza graduated a valedictorian in Dental Hygiene from the State University of New York in Farmingdale. She also Holds a cum laude bio-chemistry degree from the City University of New York in Staten Island.

Natasza has been a Texan since the year 2000. In her free time she loves working on her home and garden. She has been fortunate to be able to travel with her family and friends. She is a firm believer that spreading happiness makes life better for all.

Patient Coordinator

Jazmin

Jazmin was born and raised in Kansas surrounded by a big family. She attended The University of Kansas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human biology in 2015. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Texas where she began working in the dental field. She chose dental because your smile is the first thing people see and she wants to help people feel more confident. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to sporting events and concerts, traveling, staying active, and painting.
